I LOVE IT!! if you look close enough you can see there was some sort of wallpaper/border that they painted over with the purple which then left the white outline of the animals. ANY idea where i could find something like this?
If I understand right, you just want the outline, not the painted animal in the finished pictures. A craft store, such as JoAnn or Michael's, will probably have stencils of animals you could use to draw the shape on the wall before painting around it.
Another good souce of animal shapes are woodworking pattern books for people who want to cut animal shapes out of plywood, either to paint with personality or to use as silhouettes. (you're just cutting them out of paper, instead of wood). Many of those books include full sized patterns, or you can use a copier to enlarge the shape to the size you need.
The hard part would be masking off the white area, or getting the paper shape stuck to the wall so you can paint around it without getting paint underneath. You can probably use a stencil brush, but find some instructions on how to use one and practice first. (You sort of daub with them, rather than stroke.)
If you want to do it with the full color animals, I'm sure I've seen large animal stickers at the craft store for exactly that purpose.
