Is it ok for a 6 month old to still need to be swaddled?
My son has NEVER slept in his crib, he hated it from day one. So he's been sleeping in his swing but he has seemed to be getting uncomfortable in it. Last night he sat there and kicked from 4-5:30 a.m. Hubby and I decided it's really time to just let him cry it out and sleep in his crib.
He loved being swaddled up until he was about a month old, then he kicked to get out of it. So today on a whim after him crying for about an hour, I got out the swaddling blanket and wrapped him up tight and he fell asleep for a little over 2 hours. He's asleep right now wrapped up like a burrito.
When I was taking childbirth classes, someone said "I would be worried if a child was over 4 months old and still had to be swaddled." Um, ok? So is it a bad thing that my guy likes to be swaddled still? He was a snuggler from day one and I think he just likes the feeling of being held.

There is nothing at all wrong with him being swaddled. I swaddled my son until he was about 9 months old. Maybe a little older.
My baby, she's 3 months old, and she needs to be swaddled as well.
If you feel like swaddling will help, then keep swaddling him. There's nothing wrong with it at all.
