Transition from swaddling for sleep to no swaddle?
Has anyone transitioned their baby from being swaddled for sleep to sleeping just in a sleepsack? My son is still swaddled, using the Kiddopatamus (sp?) swaddling blanket, but I also used the Miracle Blanket. I wonder if I need to slowly introduce him to sleeping without the swaddle? If he won't sleep without being swaddled, does this mean he's not ready to NOT be swaddled?? Just looking for some advice. Thanks!
If the swaddling works then use it. Ive used it since the twins were born and our son got himself out at about 5 months old and hasnt wanted it since. It helps them sleep while they still have their startle reflex and honestly who doesnt like to feel like they are being held while going to sleep.
If you want to stop it will be hard trust me i tried to transition him out as well as his sister and they just got really mad and upset so i decided to let them do it on their own and he has so far but she hasnt.
**We have a square afghan that we wrap her in so its pretty large.
