Does anybody let their baby sleep with them in their bed like me?
my baby is 10 weeks old and he sleeps with us. We put him near the wall where he is safe and wrap only a blanket round him with no bedding on him, and he loves it. he sleeps really well. this suits us, and we also did this with our 2 year old. But when people ask me about how my baby sleeps i daren't tell them, as feel like i am being judged. I love my baby being in bed with me, as i can keep a close eye on him and we all get loads of sleep. me and my partner are happy with this. We are going to ove the cot into our room though and try him in it, as yesterday i swaddle wrapped him in a alight blanket and he slept for hours. I would just like to know if anybody else does what i do as i feel like the odd one out at the toddler & mums groups. Thanks.
My baby is also 10 weeks old and she's only napped in her crib once. We co-sleep and have had no problems with it. She sleeps next to me head with a pillow propped on the other side her to prevent roll offs. I have found that she sleeps deeper and longer in the bed with us than anywhere else, she wouldn't sleep through the night when she spent the night at my mother's because she was in a padded laundry basket (she hasn't gotten around to buying a playpen yet) and not in the bed with someone, since my mom has a pillow top she didn't want to take the risk. I tell whoever asks that I co-sleep and if they judge me or tell me I'm wrong or the baby could die, I look at them smile and ask them how old was there baby when they slept through (5 - 8hrs) the night because mine has been doing so since she was a 5 weeks old.
