when did you let your baby start sleeping with a blanket or something?
our son is 7 1/2 months old. he's had his glowworm in the crib or playpen with him since he was about 2 months old (so he can watch the light and listen to the music when I'm trying to get him to go to sleep), but he's getting to where he doesn't want to sleep at night (I think mainly b/c of teething) but I have noticed though that he likes to hold on to his burp rag (cloth diaper) or his little security blanket (has a puppy dog head on it that rattles) when he is going to sleep. I've thought about letting him sleep with his little security blanket, but I'm just really nervous about the idea. I can't let him go to sleep with it and then take it away a little later b/c when I move it he wakes up...
Just wondering when you let your baby start sleeping with something like that...
He's had blankets on him since he started sleeping in his crib, so about 3 months old (go ahead and give me the thumbs-down, SIDS scaremongers).
As long as they can move their heads, they can move away from the blanket if they don't want/need it near them. Depending on the temperature, we'll either find our son asleep under the covers, or he's kicked them off.
