Anyone have the ORIGINAL Pump in Style Breast Pump?
(I think it was made in 1997)
I have that one and was wondering how it worked.
I bought it from someone else (and am of course getting all new pieces that touch any part of my body) and was wondering how well it worked. I've heard good things so far!

I bought a used one also. It worked great for about 2 months then it stopped working as well. I wasn't getting as much milk as i had before and started to get engourged. I called a lac consultant to ask her what the deal was and the first thing she asked me was..."is it used?" Then she proceeded to tell me that they are only designed to last for about a year of regular use. so if the person who used it before you used it on a regular basis for say 6 months, you can probably expect to only get 6 months of use out of it (if used a couple times a day). I was so upset when she told me this! I had just spent $150 on a used pump and then had to end up spending $320 on a new one. Oh well I guess you gotta do what ya do! The new one works great though. I was told by quite a few moms and lac consults that the medela electrics are the best though. Make sure to get new tubing too. It doesn't touch your body but milk can get inside of them and that can present a health concern if the person using it before you has any diseases.
