are portable cots ok for a baby to sleep in rather than a normal cot?
we needed a cot as the last thing to get for our babys thats due in some weeks, my fiance asked if it was ok if he went and got a cot without me there and he came home with a portable cot (which i wasnt expecting) but i thought ok well a beds a bed i suppose but my mum says theres no way it is sleeping in there that he has to refund it cos its not good for a baby to sleep in every night and the midwife wont allow it etc.....
is that true that the portacot is only good for when your staying somewhere other than home? will it be bad for the baby if thats what we have it sleep in every night?
he really thought he chose something really good and i dont want to be the one to tell him we cant use it
as long as its set up properly it ok. i got one for our son with out considering bending down to put him in and out. he hates it. and so do our backs. he'll play in it though so we still kept it came in handy when he started crawling.
