Ventaire advanced bottles making baby gassier?
I just switched my 10 week old today to the playtex ventair advanced bottles. I would have started her off from day 1 with them but they have just been re released in my area since the whole BPA recall so I bought some because my best friend swares by them. My baby was a pretty gassy on her old formula and was having troubles pooping so we switched her to similac lactose free and then she was pooping like a trooped but crying when it came time to pass gas...now tonight she is passing gas like no tommorrow, do you think that the bottles just aren't working for her or that they are releasing any pent up gas? She isn't crying though when she is farting though but usually by now she is sleeping and she is still wide awake and eating like no tommorrow and hasn't slept much today either she keeps sleep crying after about 10mins of sleep (she's usually in bed by 9pm and sleeps her whole night so this is an odd behaviour so I'm thinking that maybe it's the bottles?)
My son had a ton of problems with gas when he was younger too (and still does sometimes). I tried every single bottle just about and even though they all claimed to help with gas they didn't work for us. I eventually changed to the playtex drop-ins. With those you can literally push the little liner up in the bottle and squeeze out all the air before you give them the bottle. He still gets gas but not nearly as bad! Maybe you can try those?
