Will I be saving money if I switch to cloth diapers?
I've been thinking about switching to cloth diapers for some time now, and I have no cloth diaper experience whatsoever.My daughter is almost 5 months and I've been using pampers swaddlers size 2-3. If I switch to cloth, I will continue to purchase wipes and i will use a washer/dryer at my aunt's house--so no utility costs. Also if anyone can suggest which cloth diapers to use, that would be great too..thanks.
Yes, you will save money--especially if your utilities don't go up at all, but we do our laundry in our own house and have still saved. It really doesn't take all that much water to do a load of diapers, and you can save on electricity by drying them in the sun sometimes.
We like Bumgenius one-size pockets. They are easy to use and will fit your daughter until she potty-trains, probably. You can look them up at cottonbabies.com. Also sign up for their mailing list to get heads-up when a sale rolls around 
You can also buy cloth diapers used, but just be sure to sterilize them first by washing them on hot in the top rack of the dishwasher or on a sanitize setting in a fancy washer (we don't have one unfortunately).
And have you thought of using cloth wipes too? You might as well, really! We use baby washcloths for ours, and just wet them with water. There are fancy wipes to be bought and fancy solutions you can buy/make, but we haven't found any of this necessary and are on a budget.
