Question about rear facing car seat?
I know they say that once you have one of those convertible car seats that you should keep your baby rear facing up until their recomendation of about 30 lbs or so...now, what about if the seat would be safer and more sturdy front facing? The seat right now, while install correctly, still had some wobble to it and stays put with a towel rolled up between the seat and the car seat. I have a Honda and the back seat is a little curved. The car seat we have is a Safety First Alpha Omega Elite.
So if it would be more stable front facing it would be safter to turn it around when he turns one right? He's already surpassed 20 lbs.
Mocha I already stated that I was going to wait until he turned one... that's in June. And he's a big strong boy.
I have the same car seat and when I installed it, it was also kinda wobbly. My son is 7.5 months old and just over 20lbs. I ended up taking the base off of it (It says you can do that for smaller cars/airplanes etc) and rolled up a towel and put it underneath it. He's still rear facing, it basically just reclined it a tad bit more, but it also made it a LOT more sturdy and less wobbly. Hope this helps!
