nursing covers/ breastfeeding shawls?
What would be a good one to buy for a plus size mom. I am due to have my baby boy soon and would like to get something to cover up with so this time around I can do more nursing and less pumping and try to avoid formula if possible so I need a good cover but it seems like the ones i look at just wouldn't work right for a bigger mom. So if anyone has any idea on which ones are more for bigger moms please let me know. I need to keep it low cost and I was going to just get a pattern to make one but I can't find any patterns for less than $25 and they even seem like they may be to small. Any advice would be helpful thanks.
You could try just pinning two receiving blankets together and wear them like a nursing shawl. Carter's makes receiving blankets in cotton flannel that come 4 to a pack - the material is lightweight and soft and they come in cute coordinating sets. I am plus sized and though I don't do a lot of nursing in public, when I do I honestly just drape one of these blankets over us and feel fine with that. But if you wanted something more like a shawl, two of them together could give plenty of coverage.
