I think it's too adult. You're getting it from PB Teen. I babysit for a little girl who's room was surfer themed for a while. The colors were softer pinks. greens, etc. But it was very cute. She had a little surfboard with her name on it (Makaila, prn. Ma-ky-la) it was really sweet. I'm not sure where her parents got everything. I loved it especially because her name is Hawaiian, so it was Hawaiian themed.

I think you could make the idea work, but you need to make it a little more little princess friendly. At the same time, Makaila's room could've easily worked for an older girl as well.
