Hellp with breastfeeding newborn please?
hi, I have a 2 weeks n 4 days old baby..I was fully breastfeeding him until the 2nd week now i recently started giving him formula (Good Start Protect Plus by Nestle) about twice a day(because i still breastfeed) and ever since i gave him formula he poops waaaaayyyy less (about every 12 hrs) now where before he would poop so much with the breastmilk... is this normal? and also was i supposed to contact my doc about the switch? and what formula do you recommend?
Yes dear, You should always contact his pediatrician! What are you paying him for, he is teh answer to all your little questions!
Formula will make baby poop less often, and breast milk make her go often as many as 10-12 times a day!
No Formula is good or bad, depends what baby can digest, but I am Sure any formula you pick will make your baby bit constipated as compared to a breast fed baby.
Formual is more convenient , I know, You get more adapted to it day by day, better try to breastfeed as long as you can.
