Does my BMW have child locks, and if so, how do I set them?
I have just urchased a 1995 BMW 316i. I don't have the owner's manual and don't see anything that looks like it could be used to set the child's safety lock. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
If you have child safety locks, the switch or lever to turn them on is most likely on the edge of the rear door somewhere, near the other latches and mechanisms that hold the door closed. (The painted area on the door that is not visible from the inside OR outside when the door is closed). Look around there for a switch or maybe a very small knob. It should be labeled.
If you still can't find one, try calling the dealership, somebody there might know.
