Do the new Graco Snugride Car Seats fit in the old bases?
I have a stroller and car seat bases from about 5 years ago. I do not know if I have the car seat that came with it. But, I wondered if anyone knew if the new Graco Snugride Car Seats fit in the old bases, and in the strollers? I do not know any model numbers, because it is hanging from the rafters in my garage blocked by many boxes.
I know the Snugride car seats were shaped the same 5 years ago, and the new car seats should fit into the older base, but a base that old probably isn't the safest route to go. Especially is you are using a newer car seat with the olderbase. Technically, the old base and new car seat were not safety tested together. They are from differnent models and different years. The plastic starts to get old after about 5 years, and it's not as safe anymore. I would just buy a new base, it's better to be safe than sorry! Hope this helps!
