Brushing a 14 month olds teeth.... What toothpaste,how many times per day, and how long to brush?
I have been using "Gerber Grins and Giggles Infant tooth and Gum cleanser". Is this what I'm still suppose to be using? It's Fluoride free and safe to swallow but it says "infant". I've been using this since he got his first tooth, now he has 12. Also, I brush his teeth twice per day, is this enough or too much? I usually let him brush them himself then take over and do it for him..
I was reading a pamplet I got from his doctor that says to brush his teeth once per day and that it's ok if I don't have to brush for very long that it's ok to not get every last bit off his teeth. But it seems like they should be cared for just like ours..
On the last paragraph I started to word my sentence one way then wrote it differently, hopefully you get what I was saying lol..
We use the same - our pediatrician said not to use regular toothpaste with floride until our twins are at least 3 and can spit it out . . . so stick to the Gerber non-floride stuff for now!
We also brush twice a day - we usually let them brush, chew on the toothbrush and then take over for another pass through.
