Furniture Crib Sets
Crib dilemma!?
I ordered a crib set 8 weeks ago. They said it could take about 8-12 weeks for everything to come in. Called them this week and everything is in except the crib. The manager at the store calls the manufacturer and they do not have the crib in stock so it won't ship until December 1st - putting it's arrival date around December 17th - about 14-16 weeks after we ordered it.
I'm due December 14th.
The manager said that they have a crib and dresser in stock that's a similar color - just different style. I like the crib set that we ordered better (which is why we picked that one to begin with) than just what they have available.
So my question is - if you were in my situation would you just get the crib/dresser set that the store has in stock or would you pick up what is already here and just wait for the crib you want to come in?
The crib converts to a toddler bed then a full sized bed. We picked this furniture so it will grow with her into high school.
Wait for the one that you orignially wanted, also, talk to the manager about maybe getting a little money back - in the form of a gift card to their store- because of the problem this has caused you. Since this it is being delieverd so much later than you were originally told, they should try to keep you happy. You might be able to get some free stuff out of it.
