How many of you had blood?
I was just curious how many of you spotted brown or red blood during early pregnancy. I have for 2 days. But I went to my OB today and he did an internal ultrasound. And he saw the baby he said the the baby looked good. I was 6 1/2 weeks pregnant. And he recorded the baby's heartbeat he said all look good. As long as I didn't bleed heavy like a full pad in 1 hour. (I am only spotting)
So how many of you bled a little and had a healthy baby??
When I was supposed to be 12-13 weeks pregnant I started bleeding. Thinking I was having a miscarriage( I knew back then that bleeding could be caused by miscarriage). Well I freaked out. Jumped out of the shower, dried off and had my boyfriend drive me to the hospital. Oh did I mention it was 12am?
Turns out everything was fine. My baby was fine. I was actually 17.5 weeks along so further then what we thought( I found out I was pregnant in November). It was discovered that my baby's placenta was low lying and at the point completely covering the birth canal. She also had a 2 vessel umbilical cord, both of which my doctor said were fairly common. He sent me to a specialist to get the cord checked out and everything was fine. It was just one of those things.
My doc said that my placenta could have caused the bleeding but he's not 100% sure. Many women have some sort of bleeding in their pregnancy and most cases they turn out to have healthy babies. Doctors don't yet know why it happens but it can mean alot of different stuff.
I bled for a few days, each day lighter. The ER doctor told me if I soaked up a pad in less then an hour to come back. Also if i started cramping with bleeding.
