How do I keep my baby warm in winter?
This is probably a stupid question, but I can't find good articles online. I have a 2 month old - he is still in a baby carrier style car seat. I have a fleece car seat cover and my doctor is very adamant that we don't use "snow suits" or big coats. How do I keep him warm? Is a hat, mittens, blanket and the cover enough? I live in Wisconsin - it is going to be a cold winter - it's already down to 20 degrees today. What other baby gear do you suggest? And how should I dress him? Thanks.
I guess I should clarify that I'm referring to keeping him warm when we go outside. Staying home isn't an option. Both of us will go crazy! 
In the car, use fleece blankets to keep the baby warm. Once you're ready to take your baby outside, I would opt for a carrier, like a Bjorn, sling, pouch, wrap, and then put a larger size coat over the baby and yourself (don't cover baby's face though). Your body heat and the baby's will keep you both toasty warm!
