Reclining car seats......?
We're looking for a new car seat for my toddler and really like the Eddie Bauer Bellingham convertible car seat. It reclines, which would be great for my daughter because she can't sleep in the one we have, it's too upright.
My question is, how do you recline them? Is it easy? do you need to adjust the location of the car seat? I'm just wondering how it's installed to allow space between the seat and the car seat to recline.
We have an EB reclining car seat, but I don't know the model if it's the same as the one you mention or not. It's kind of hard to explain, but it has a hard plastic piece that folds underneath for reclining, and pulls out for upright. You would have to choose which way you want to install it. We keep ours upright, but if I remember correctly, you are only supposed to use it in the reclined position if you install it rear facing (for safety). I believe it can be rear facing up to 35lbs. Like the other poster said, it doesn't really recline a whole lot, but enough for comfort and safety if they are rear facing.
