Is formula making my baby's stomach hurt?
My 4 1/2 week old is breastfed and formula fed. For about 2 weeks he was exclusively breastfed, but for the last week or so I've had to suppliment at least one of his feeding with formula because I don't seem to be producing enough for him and his growing appetite. He has been eating Similac Advance Early Shield with Iron ready to use kind. He never really liked that but drank it anyway and never had too much problems. Now I switched to the powder kind earlier today. Ever since the first feeding he has been screaming like his stomach hurts. I'm wondering if there is that big of a difference in the ready to use vs. the powder that it would hurt his stomach. Does anyone know what I can do to help him? I've tried Mylicon, but it doesnt seem to be helping.
I know what you mean I have the can kind and the powder kind and the powder seems to upset his stomach more, so I just quit using it and use the can liquid
