How much formula should my one week old get at each feeding?
She has had some eating difficulties since birth and also very few bowel movements (which the pediatrician does not seem concerned about).
I have been filling up her bottles with 3 oz. of 'Similiac Advance with Early Shield' but she usually only takes 1.5-2 oz., sometimes 2.5 oz. Is this enough? I can't tell if she is getting enough to eat based on bowel movements since they are few and far between.
When Lily (daughter) was 1 week she was eating 1-1.5 every two to three hours. she's now 4 weeks tomorrow and she's just now eating 3oz sometimes 5oz depends on how long she sleeps and how hungry she is/growth spurts and so on. Sometimes she could eat 2 oz when she was 1 week but it was very rare. If shes having trouble with gas or fussiness just saying i would recommend the simliac sensitive it works very well. the generic kind just made mine throw up and we just had to do the simliac
