Who become a Stay and home mom instead of the "Career Women?
Alot of my family is giving me hell for giving up a career for a baby. My husband and I both WANT a baby soo badly. We do. But I also want to stay home and my husband supports me. My husband makes a decent salary.
I did got to college but my dream my WHOLE life was to be a mom.
I was a Nanny, a sunday school teacher and baby sitter. Ever since I was 11, I was being a Mothers helper or being nanny. I just LOVE kids. I do. I even had So Real babies that I treated as real. I had a stroller,car seat, diaper bag the whole works. I even has a nursery for my doll in it's own room.
With that said, I can't seeing being a career women my whole life. I want to be a mom. I do. That Is what I believe that the Lord put me on this planet for...Again, I can't see putting my child in Day care or preschool till he or she is 4 or 5. And wanting 3 kids, I will be a stay at home mom till all of them are in 1st grade then I will get a part time job...Your input?
I had a great job and even made almost twice as much as my husband. When our 1st daughter was 8 months old WE made the decision for me to become a stay at home mom. BEST DECISION WE EVER MADE. We caught a lot of grief from our family but it is not their choice. We now have 2 and they are both in school so my family kept saying things like "oh, your going to have to go back to work now. The kids are going to school, I guess you will be going back to work now." I fooled them though. I am still a stay at home mom. I go to the school and volunteer. I take snacks and go on field trips. And when one of them get sick I don't have to worry about loosing my job so I can stay home and take care of them. They even tried to guilt me into putting my youngest into daycare last year because they said she would need it to start school but when she went into kindergarten this year she knew how to write her name, ABC's, #'s. She could count, tie her shoes and even read a little. She knew more than 2/3's of her class so I support it completely. Anyone who thinks someone is becoming a home maker so they can be lazy and not work should walk in our shoes for 1/2 a day. (They would never make it a whole day).
