what age is it alright to start giving water?
my son has just turned 4 months and lately he has been snacking on breastmilk, he will go on for like 3 minutes then pull himself off. he will do this on and off for about half hour. is it ok to give him water? if so how much? i know that it has to be boiled then cooled.

I started giving my son cooled boiled water from about 4 months every now and then or in between feeds on hot days. You may find that although he is having short feeds he still may be getting enough milk. You could try expressing to see how much milk you have. But in my opinion he is old enough for cooled boiled water. Some babies start solids at 4 months.
