my exclusively breastfed infant is having thick dark green poop?
my 4 week baby is breastfed. she doesn't poop often especially without assistance and when she does its really thick and dark green. when she trays to poop/fart she gets really squirmy and screams. I tried the suppository's and the q-tip up the butt but they both don't seem to do much. i have been feeding her on each breast for looooooooong periods of time so i know shes getting enough hind milk. ive been drinking more water and added more fibre to my diet. Any other suggestions.
she's 8 weeks actually. the doc. suggested those things. she also mentioned acid feflux or heart burn but, i dont see what that get to do with her poops.
