Can i solely pump breast milk instead of straight breastfeeding?
This is my first baby.I plan on breastfeeding the first few days because I know about the colostrum and it's importance for him.After that I would rather pump. I have seen freezer storage bags for this reason. Then that way my hubby can help with nighttime feedings. Any advice will help.
If you are going to be a pumper then invest in a good breast pump! They get pricey but its worth it if you are going to do it for a long time. I just quit being a full time pumper after a month of doing it (because I have a slow let down) but I used the Avent manual pump and I loved it. I pumped with my last child and hated the playtex pump I had, it was too cheap.

Eat healthy, your body needs calories to burn and to be able to give up for the breast milk. Stay hydrated.
Also, if your milk supply does run low there is stuff called "mother's milk" it's a tea and it helps with milk production and another thing called Fenugreek (sp?) that is supposed to help also. I didn't use either but I bought the monther's milk, it's still sitting on my kitchen table.
