Is it time for a toddler bed? Or too early?
My daughter is going to be 15 months at the end of this month. She completely refuses to sleep in her crib. She screams bloody murder when I even put her in it, and she doesn't stop. I've tried waiting it out and she cried for over an hour, and didn't fall asleep. It was breaking my heart, so I took her out. She sleeps on a pile of blankets on my bedroom floor (made up very comfortabley of course), or in my bed, but she hates the crib. I think it's the enclosure of the crib. Should I try a toddler bed now? Or is it still too soon?
Hello! My 2 1/2 year old got a toddler bed when she was 1 1/2. She loved it. I then used the crib for my son, who is 14 months younger than she is, but he hated the crib. Since he could walk and climb at 10 months, I decided to get him a toddler bed too. He is now 17 months old and loves his bed. (he actually loved it from the start) I think it is awesome because he can get in and out of it by himself. When it is bedtime, He crawls up into it and lays down like a big boy...haha. Like a previous person said, keep your crib and try a toddler bed. If all else fails, go back to the crib. (i also put his little leap frog night time music box on his toddler bed...you know the kind that connect to a crib? You can put them on his toddler bed too)
