Question for mothers in the icy cold northern states?? Montana, Dakotas, Wisconsin, Ohio, N.Y., etc...?
I've been seeing how icy/snowy the weather's been lately, and I wonder about things i.e.....
How do you bundle up a newborn to go home from hospital in teens or negative 15 temps? What if you need to run out with your infant in tow? Also, those with infants or toddlers who must go out to day care each day, what do you dress them in???
I'm just rather curious/intrigued by the weather being that I'm a natural raised Florida girl. If it hits the 30's/40's here and I have to take my son out (he's 9 1/2 mos now)....I put him on a onesie, blanket sleeper, hat, socks, and throw a good blanket over his infant seat.
So what about your babies? I hear the wind chill makes it even colder!
I live in NB Canada and its pretty chilly here.
I just make sure to warm up the car a good 10-15 mins. Then I just put my son in a fleece pants, fleece sweater and his wind breaker jacket over. Its not very thick but all I do is get them from the house to the car, then the car to where ever I'm going. I use to put him in a snowsuit but by the time we got where we were going, he's be sooo hot in the car and so uncomfortable.
