How can I get crib rails to stop sticking?
I got a used crib from a family member, an it has been siting around for a while. I just set it up so it's ready for one my son or daughter is born but the rails won't slide up or down unles I put about 90% of my weight on them. This will be impossible to do when I have the baby in my arms an in order 2 pull up on them it lifts the whole crib which will be horrible once the baby is asleep an I would hate to wake him or her up while tryin to put the rail back up. is there anything I can do to stop the rails from sticking? the crib is made of wood an the rail that it slides up an down on is metal.
Try rubbing a candle on the parts that are sticking. Even if you can't see the wax that has been left behind it should do the trick.
