Infant car seat or Convertible car seat?
We live in the city, so baby won't be in the car all that often, I tend to walk everywhere, other than Target and stuff, where I plan to use a Moby wrap or some other form of baby sling. Is an infant seat REALLY necessary or are we just as well saving the money on that and just going with a convertible? If you suggest both, what do you think is the best brand of infant and convertible??
I live downtown and tend to walk everywhere as well. Paying for parking is expensive and parking spots don't always exist. We rarely used the car seat and a Moby wrap is a lot easier then lugging around the heavy car seat with your baby in it.
For big city life I would get a convertible one. Maybe just buy a head support pieces for your newborn and call it good.
With my next child as long as I am still a stay at home mom living downtown I have no plans to use an infant seat. If I had to drive my newborn to daycare every day I would definately want an infant seat, but that is not my lifestyle.
