Should I bother with a pattern for a baby blanket using boucle?
I am planning on knitting a baby blanket for a good friend of mine who is due in a few days...(I'm waiting to see if it's a boy or girl). I plan on using a boucle yarn that's pretty fuzzy. Should I bother using a simple pattern or will it even show? I want to get it done asap.
Maybe just add and eyelet row around the edges that you can thread through with ribbon, and then a simple garter stitch for the body. Boucle has so much texture you really do not need to add pattern.
knit 2 yarn over, knit 2 together at the beginning of every row, or every 4 rows beginning and ending the row, and cast on, knit 4 rows do a row with yarn over, knit 2 together, knit 2, yarn over, knit 2 together and repeat that 4 rows before your cast off.
