In '07 webworms consumed my trees leaves, made a web that covered the tree, trunk, and ground around the tree. Arborist said (before it got that bad) it would be an expensive losing battle, tree would live, so don't bother, or get a wasp (don't remember species). Not option due to son's tree swing. I had Sevin, too harsh and couldn't reach tops, getting poison on myself while trying to wasn't good or exposure to baby. Besides that, the worst thing was the thousands of worms on my porch, door, house, walk way to car and on the car. It's gross and I don't want to endure it again. No matter how much I would sweep them and smear guts everywhere, they would be back a half an hour later. I see a few web pouches (too high) and worms on the trunk. If I can't keep them off the tree fine, but how do I keep them off the rest of my area? It's like they attack my front door. And I can't see bottom of it or the sidewalk. I have to dust them off the knob before I can open the door. Please help.
