how can i make a baby blanket?
so my sisters pregnant and due very soon i told her id help make some blankets only problem is im not a sewer and have no access to a sewing machine. i brought some polar fleece for winter blankets and flannelet for some summer ones. i have brought polar fleece with a pattern on it then i wanted to back the other side with a plain Color but how can i join them and make a nice edge for it

Others have answered your question adequately about the polar fleece blankets.
On the flannel or flannelet blankets: If you have double-faced flannel, remove the selvages and cut it the flannel square. Squares that are 38" are the most practical. Turn under each edge 1" and press down, then turn the 1" in for a 1/2" hem all around. Use 3/8" iron-on bonding tape under the hem all the way around, then follow the package directions to heat-set the tape and secure the hem.
For single-faced flannel, you'd want to bond two pieces together. Cut your squares and turn under and press the 1" hems. Then use 5/8" iron-on bonding tape to iron the two pieces together, with the wrong sides (and the hems) on the inside.
If you crochet, you can cut the squares of flannel 36-1/4" and then making a rolled hem, crochet an edging around the four sides of the blanket.
If you hand sew, you can use satin blanket binding and stitch it around the four sides of the blanket.
If you can embroider the blanket stitch, putting blanket stitching around the edges in a contrasting color can be very effective. Embroidery floss, all 6 strands, works well or a heavy crochet thread with a sheen to it works well.
