Hand washing baby bottles?
I hate hand washing baby bottles. It takes forever and I always end up soaking wet by the time I am finished. I've heard of those steamers. Do those really work? And if so, are they an alternative?
I do use a bottle brush. The dishwasher is a good idea.... I just hate the thought of washing 4 or 5 bottles and nothing else. It's just me and my husband... so we don't use a lot of dishes.
We use a steam sterilizer that just plugs in. Typically has to be run 1-2 times a day (depending on the type bottles I tend to be using) since he is up to using 8 oz bottles now. Our son was preemie so I wasn't taking any chances and after a week of boiling bottles and pieces for 1 hour or better every day I had had enough. I love our sterilizer...do a quick rinse down first and then just load it up add a little water, turn it on, and go on my way. When I get a chance I will go back later and take everything out and put it all on a drying rack. About every 2 weeks I will "sterilize" the sterilizer according to the book and run a cycle of white vinegar/water and then just water to make sure that it is staying clean...
