layers of silk dresses...what does this mean spiritually?
I absolutely believe in spiritual meaning of dreams...I dont think they can be interpreted with a blanket meaning out of a book....so, for those of you who are like me.....Im curious what you think of this dream I had this morning....
I was lugging around this baby....and it wasnt mine, but, it was mine ,....anyways. It seemed like I had gone to a psychic...and she was very nice....she seemed like a very wise himble lady..she had a man for a helper. she told me to put on a pile of silk dresses, layering them, and she would tell me my story.

she told me to pick a name to represent each dress....
I thought and thought and couldnt come up with anything....finally it all popped into my head....and I blurted out..

The baby, I believe, represents that you have been given a responsibility to carry that was not really yours to begin with but you have adopted it. Or perhaps it is, indeed, your own life, or search for meaning.
A psychic deals with layers and layers of meaning, focusing on colors, numbers, etc. but can't really tell you anything real about yourself or your life, except based on what she actually hears and sees from you. So, "line upon line, precept upon precept," she layers on the details, but in the end, she has given you nothing real or valid. She tells you nothing you don't already know.
Everyone's life is filled with the same concerns... death, dying, hope, anguish, and grief. We all hope for new life. But to speak randomly of all these things are meaningless. You can go to countless "phychics" and "astrologists," and "numerologists", etc. and not get anything new. Like the red dresses, they are all the same.
What I think it means is that you are trying on different philosophies and methods of spirtual experimentation to try to find meaning in your life, just as you would try on dresses. But, for the most part, they are all the same and you come up with nothing satisfying.
The order they are listed in don't make a whole lot of sense, either, does it?
The only two that make any real sense or offer anything to hang onto are the blue dress and the lacy white one. Together, they represent hope for new life...a new beginning... starting now, and continuing into eternal life.
I pray that you will come to recognize the "duds" before you spend too much time trying them on! You don't want to spend your life in the dressing room. Life awaits! I pray you find the reality that will give you the peace and satisfaction you seek.
